Introductory Statement

Hi there. My name is Abby Mueller. I am a senior Integrated Marketing Communications Major with minors in Business Administration and Philosophy. I began my journey at Slippery Rock University (https://www.sru.edu/) as a Marketing major and quickly learned that it did not fulfill my desire to connect with others. When I found Integrated Marketing Communications, it felt like the perfect combination of the things I love to do. I attended a career center while in high school and earned my Cosmetology license. I have a passion for all things beautiful and dream of working for a cosmetics brand in digital marketing. New Media Journalism is a perfect class for a person like myself to take because it gives me the ability to grow in my ability to share my love for beauty and prepare for my future career. I chose to call my blog "The 'A' List" because A is the first letter of my name and it has a double meaning for exclusivity. I have always loved the sense of connection and community that journalism allows. I especially appreciate the ability to connect with one another in this new time where we must stay home to stay safe. We are fortunate in this time to stay connected and communicate when we otherwise may have felt alone in such a scary and unpredictable time. Stay tuned for more blog posts!
